The magical forest of Alta Lumina in Les Gets

A unique concept in the Alps

Created by the Canadian multimedia studio Moment Factory, known worldwide for its spectacular visual productions, Alta Lumina in Les Gets takes visitors on a 1.5 km illuminated trail through the forest. The experience begins at nightfall, following the tale of a traveling musician who sets off in his hot air balloon to share his melodies across the mountains. When a storm strikes, the visitor is drawn into an enchanting journey where light and sound blend seamlessly with the natural landscape.

An immersive sensory experience

Along the path, visitors move through a world of interactive scenes and musical light displays. Between illuminated clearings, projections and visual installations, Alta Lumina transforms the alpine forest into a living storybook. The experience can be enjoyed at your own pace, by families, couples or friends, in a calm and captivating atmosphere that reveals the mountain in a whole new way.

Practical information

Opening period: from July 5 to August 31, 2025, Monday to Saturday, and every Saturday from September 6 to 27, 2025. The trail may close temporarily in case of bad weather.

Opening hours: evening sessions from nightfall, by online reservation only.

2025 ticket prices: adults (16+) €19 / children (5–15) €10 / free for under 4s / family pass (2 adults + 2 children) €53.

The full experience lasts around one hour and is accessible to most visitors. Comfortable footwear and warm clothing are recommended. Free parking is available on site, and a shuttle service connects the town center with the site during summer.
