Unmissable sporting events this summer in Les Gets
In the heart of summer, the resort of Les Gets transforms into a true playground for nature lovers, sports enthusiasts, and thrill-seekers. Blending mountain traditions with major events, the summer season once again promises a lineup of not-to-be-missed experiences. Mountain biking, trail running, or international competitions : whether you're a spectator, an amateur, or a competitor, everyone will find something to fuel their passion in this exceptional alpine setting.

La Pass’Portes du Soleil MTB
Every year, the Pass’Portes kicks off the summer in the Alps with an extraordinary mountain bike ride through the largest cross-border area in Europe. From June 27 to 29, 2025, more than 80 kilometers of trails between France and Switzerland await riders, featuring panoramic passes, forest descents, and gourmet stops showcasing local products.
But the event goes far beyond classic mountain biking. VTTAE, gravel, hiking routes, and guided circuits for children mean there’s something for everyone, at their own pace. And once again this year, Les Gets has the honor of hosting the MTB show, where enthusiasts and curious visitors can test major cycling brands on dedicated tracks. A sporting, fun, and tasty adventure to enjoy with friends or family.
L’Alambike: 24 hours of cycling, celebration, and solidarity
But the Alambike is much more than just a race. It’s a festive, intergenerational weekend where team spirit, solidarity, and the joy of riding together take center stage. Children are also in the spotlight, with age-appropriate races: balance bikes for toddlers up to age 5, and competitions for youth from U7 to U17 categories. Alongside, fun activities, concerts, food stalls, refreshments, and other surprises energize the village center. Les Gets becomes a true playground for all, from seasoned bikers to curious onlookers. A joyful and meaningful event not to be missed this summer!
DH kids cup
The schedule includes open practice sessions on Saturday, followed by two timed runs on Sunday. A lunch break is planned on-site, with a snack bar. The prize ceremony will close the event, with many prizes awarded by drawing lots. The required level corresponds to an advanced blue trail. A great opportunity for kids to get a taste of competition in a safe and friendly setting, in a resort that encourages a passion for biking from an early age.
Trail des Gets by Rossignol
On July 19 and 20, 2025, the resort of Les Gets hosts a new edition of the Trail des Gets, a must for mountain running enthusiasts. Through alpine pastures, panoramic ridges with views of Mont Blanc, and forest paths, the courses offer total immersion in the preserved nature of the Gets area.
This edition features a variety of formats for all levels:
Trail green : 11 km and 550 m of elevation gain, ideal for a first mountain experience.
Trail blue : 21 km and 1100 m of elevation gain, a balanced route combining technique and scenery.
Trail red : 43 km and 2300 m of elevation gain, a new route crossing both sides of the village, for experienced runners.
Mont Chéry challenge : a vertical run with 380 m of elevation gain, repeated in loops over 4 hours, to accumulate as much ascent as possible.
The youngest also get their turn, with age-appropriate races ranging from 800 m to 6 km. Organized by Les Gets Tourisme in partnership with the Faucigny Athletic Club, this event combines athletic performance and conviviality in an exceptional alpine setting.
UCI Mountain Bike World Cup 2025: Les Gets, world stage for MTB
From August 28 to 31, 2025, the resort of Les Gets will once again host the global elite of mountain biking for the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup. Three flagship events are on the schedule for this spectacular edition : Cross-country Short Track (XCC), Downhill (DHI), and Olympic Cross-country (XCO).
True to its reputation as a land of major events, Les Gets has been a must-see destination for the sport for over 30 years.
