The history of Les Gets Golf Course

Just 55 minutes from Geneva and 40 minutes from Evian, the course was designed on the Chavannes ridge by Don Harradine and Olivier Dongradi. This technically demanding layout was inaugurated in 1995 by Mr. Guy Drut, then French Minister for Sport. Since its creation, the club has been committed to a sustainable approach, continually improving its environmental performance. In 2010, it became the first golf course in France to obtain ISO 14001 environmental certification.

A one-of-a-kind course

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced golfer, the Les Gets Golf Course offers an 18-hole course with exceptional panoramic views. Designed to follow the natural contours of the mountain, each hole is named after a surrounding peak — the Mont Blanc, for example, aligns perfectly with hole 7. Rather than focusing on difficulty, the elevation changes add to the variety of the course, which is easily accessible thanks to a fleet of 30 electric golf carts available for players.

Facilities and services

Beyond its exceptional course and spectacular scenery, the Les Gets Golf Course offers a full range of services to ensure a seamless golfing experience. The clubhouse features a pro shop stocked with everything golfers need, from clubs and balls to premium clothing and accessories. The shop operates on the same schedule as the course, from June 10 to October 8.

Golfers can also take lessons with professional instructors who provide tailored coaching to improve your swing or course strategy. After a round, the club restaurant, Le Chalet du Golf, welcomes players for a meal focused on quality local products in a relaxing green setting.

Our BARNES Portes du Soleil agency invites you to join us on July 15 for the first edition of our golf competition, the BARNES Golf Days, held in the enchanting surroundings of the Les Gets Golf Course. The tournament will follow a Shamble format for teams of two players.

Participants, club members and residents are welcome from 8 a.m. for breakfast, with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. A buffet will be available midway through the course, and our partner brand Lacroix will host a putting contest with a Lacroix putter to be won. The prize-giving ceremony will take place at our agency in the centre of the village to conclude the day in style.
